This Privacy Policy explains how Cue handles your information. Cue is an iOS digital self-control tool that helps you see time reminders and use Screen Time based usage reporting and daily limits to reduce unconscious scrolling.

Cue is currently designed around a local-first privacy model: core usage data is stored on your device by default and is not uploaded to Cue-owned servers. Cue does not provide social platform account login, does not read content inside third-party apps, and does not collect your third-party account credentials, passwords, cookies, private messages, comments, feeds, or browsing content.

1. Information We Handle

1.1 Local Data You Set or Generate

To provide the core features, Cue may store the following information locally on your device:

• The platforms you enable, platform order, and region/language related preferences.
• Search history for each platform. Search history is used to help you reuse search terms inside Cue and is stored locally by default.
• Timer records created when you open a platform through Cue, such as platform ID, open source, start time, end time, pause state, and accumulated duration.
• Current timer state required for Live Activity / Dynamic Island.
• Daily limits, remaining-time reminder settings, lock state, and related notification settings for each platform.
• In-app settings, such as tutorial completion state, reminder frequency, and debug options.

This data is used to display Cue's home screen, timer reminders, statistics entry points, daily limits, and lock state. The current version does not upload this core data to Cue-owned servers.

1.2 Screen Time / Family Controls Data

If you grant Screen Time / Family Controls authorization, Cue uses Apple system frameworks to provide real usage reporting, app binding, daily limits, and system-level locking.

Cue may store your manually selected FamilyActivitySelection and related ApplicationToken locally. These are used to bind a Cue platform to the app you selected in Apple's system picker. Cue uses these tokens to build DeviceActivity reports, daily limit monitoring, and ManagedSettings locks.

Cue uses Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings capabilities to provide authorization, usage reporting, daily limits, and system-level locking. These system capabilities are limited by iOS privacy protections, and Cue cannot read the specific content you view, post, watch, or send inside other apps.

Important notes:

• Cue cannot automatically identify the real app identity, account, or content represented by an ApplicationToken.
• Cue does not read or store posts, videos, private messages, comments, feeds, account profiles, cookies, or browsing content inside third-party apps.
• Real screen usage time is processed and displayed through Apple's Screen Time / DeviceActivity system capabilities on the device. The Cue main app does not import raw real usage duration numbers into its own cloud system or Cue-owned servers.
